Best Way to Simulate Scattering of Optical Photons?

Hi All, I am currently simulating a beam of near-UV optical photons propagating through an opaque water-based liquid scintillator. In the experiment that I am simulating, some of the light gets scattered and picked up on the detector at 90° to the beam. My question is, what is the best way to implement this scattering into geant? As a note, the liquid scintillator is made from a mixture of water and a material similar to mineral oil.

What is the physical process doing the scattering? If it is Rayleigh or Mie, these are already implemented in Geant4. You would need to specify the relevant parameters (like mean free path) in a material properties table.
