Electron fluence at low energies

Hi all,
I am scoring electron fluence in a water disk (r = 5 mm, h = 0.25 mm) placed at 5 cm depth in a water phantom (20x20x15 cm3) and irradiated with a 1.25 MeV monoenergetic photon beam. I want to compare my results with EGSnrc simulations. However i am finding a strange behaviour around 60keV with different physics lists. Does anyone know why there is a “drop” around that energy?

Hi, are you using a specific Geant4 example to produce these results? in addition, which is the cut you adopt in the simulation?

cheers

Hello, I am actually running the simulations using TOPAS, however they suggested to ask here in the Geant4 forum. As a cut for all particles i am using 65nm.

Hi, in that case I suggest to you to contact the developers of TOPAS. I also suggest to try to reproduce the results with an Electromagnetic Test of Geant4.
