How to define an electron as a optical photon

Hello.

I want to define an electron particle incident across the boundary of a medium as an optical photon particle.

Is there a way to define using incident electron particle information?

I think I can solve it by writing a stepping action class. But I can’t think of a specific way.

Can you share your ideas?

Hello Hannah,

I’m not entirely sure why one would want to do that but that is besides the point of the question. I think you are right. A stepping/tracking action where you check for a boundary crossing into your desired volume, kill the electron track, and create an optical photon of your desired characteristics.

Mind you that if you really want that optical photon to behave “properly” in your material, you are responsible to set its optical properties.
