I am trying to simulate energy deposition in a sensitive volume. I tried to shoot over 10^8 protons by using ParticleGun, but simulating time was too long, so I used bias proton nuclear interaction cross section to save calculation time. Now I have a problem. I get energy deposition now, but I don’t know a certain deposited energy is from proton nuclei recoils (ions) or direct ionizing by protons, which gives a problem to statistic, because the deposited energies are biased, what should I do to solve this problem?
