Hi,
I know that there is a relation between the energy deposited in a medium and the step size, since the dEdx is computed integrating over the step size. I’ve been playing with alpha particles in liquid argon, and I’ve found that after setting a maximum step size of ~40um I don’t get any ionization energy. Is there a minimum step length needed for the dEdx computation?
Thank you
I have difficulty to understand your point.
Please, can you try to reproduce the problem with one of the G4 examples : TestEm1 or TestEm5 or TestEm11 or TestEm18 ?
