I just wanted to confirm if my understanding is bonkers or not.
When I include the RadioactiveDecayPhysics into my physics list, then all radioactive decay chains are included and simulated in my application. So, if I have a volume where I score e.g. eDep, then the total energy deposition output of the simulation will account for ALL ionising events from time=0 to time=DBL_MAX.
If I wanted to exclude the energy-depositing decay events that happen, say, 1 year after the initial irradiation, How would I go about doing that? Is it enough to kill the tracks of the decay products that have TimeOfBirth > = 1 year at a PreUserTrackingAction level?
Thank you very much,
yes, it is exactly what you must do.
