Determining Stopping Power of Positron

Hello everyone,

Can anyone share how can we determine the stopping power dE/dx for a positron passing through matter(NaI crystal)?

What I am thinking is to divide the stopping length of the positron into small divisions and find the energy deposited in each. I am thinking on correct lines, or is there any easier method to approach ?

Thank You

Hi, if it is the SP in the CSDA, you have to switch off the msc and energy loss fluctuations. Increase the cut. Then, have a small step and calculate dE/dx as edep/step_length.

I am also having a problem of this sort, I want to score the stopping power of the primary particle but I am having difficulty generating the code. I just keep having a uniform value for all the secondary particles stopping power. Below is the error I am getting

Please help.
