I have a scintillator detector. I have compared the simulated efficiency with experimental value with mono energetic gamma. There are few points which perfectly matched with experimental value but few other experimental efficiency points are higher than simulated efficiency. Can anyone explain the reason?
In which energy region there is a mismatch?
Pay attention to parameters influencing the experimental setup.
We would have to see the two spectra to have any idea of what it could be.
But if you are not fully simulating your environment, there are lots of reasons you will have different spectra (backscatter, etc)
