Failed compile examples/advanced/eRosita

Hi all,
I am compiling the geant4-11.0.2/examples/advanced/eRosita. As the instruction, only one need to type make in the dicrectory, but I failed with errors that the compiler can’t find the head file. Do I need some environment settings.

Hello,

the official procedure is through the cmake building chain, and this is what the geant4.(c)sh scripts are configuring.

In case you want to use the older building procedure via only make you have to also run the geant4make.(c)sh in the <CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX>/share/Geant4-/geant4make folder in order to set the environment.

thanks for your help. yeah, I know source geant4make.sh is expected and I already have done this, but it still appeared errors.

Could you run the command:

$ env | sort

in the terminal where you’re trying to build and post the output here please? This should contain all the settings used by the old geant4make system, so can be a start to tracking the problem.

Hi, @bmorgan.
I posted above. By the way, I can successively compile other examples such as /basic/B1, but not this one. Is it possible to compile this example as /basic/B1.

The settings look fine, especially if basic/B1 is building o.k. Could you also try building with:

$ CPPVERBOSE=1 make

and again post the output here please? It seems like something isn’t getting passed through correctly (as noted, we don’t really support geant4make builds anymore, so it’s possible a bug has crept in).

It’s quite similar with just `make`. It seems the compiler can’t find head files in `geant4-install/include` , but it can find head files in the working direcoty(inside this example).

I can successively compile this example just as we do in /basic/B1 using cmake .. and ``make ``` in the “build” directory.
