Hi dear users,
I run a simulation of DT fusion reaction and the out put result shown attached. I am having difficulty in understanding the cross section unit displayed in “Cm^-1” please i need help to understand this.
It is just the reciprocal of the mean free path. It will be proportional to the collision cross section.

Thank you much…i am much grateful.
We can also say : (cross section per atom) * (nb of atoms per unit of volume)

Thanks so much… This will really help me
Sir, What if i change the unit in the source code from “cm^-1” to “cm^2” as the standard unit for cross section.

Thank you all for your response. It is the Macroscopic Cross Section of the Fusion Reaction.
