Gamma analyser code

Hi all,

For context. I’m beaming 14.1 MeV neutrons and detecting the gammas from a block of graphite. I’m planning using with other chemicals later on.

I was wondering if there is any highly recommended gamma spectrum analyser code (preferably free) that can be used with CERN ROOT files (or text files)?
I found a few, but I wanted to know what other scientists use.

Hi,

You can try with Cubix, a tool developed for the AGATA gamma detector in Europe. This link the installation instructions for all the packages, Cubix is just one of them. It is based on ROOT browser, and then it has built in fitting functions and a gamma peak database for easy identification of the peaks
