Hadronic physics list including Panofsky ratio

Hi. I’m a newbie and I have a problem with hadronic physics: I need to simulate a negative pion beam stopping inside a liquid hydrogen target. After the pion is stopped the only reaction that occurs is charge exchange and I don’t have any final state with just a gamma and a neutron.

The physics list I am using right now is FTFP_BERT and geant4 version is the 10.6.0.

Do I need to “activate” somehow the Panofsky ratio?

Recently I’ve started working on simulation of charge exchange interactions. In my simulation FTFP_BERT produces particles only through inelastic interaction. Implementation of G4ChargeExchange may help you to produce byproducts through charge exchange interaction. I’m not sure about the validation of this physics model.

An example of geant4 simulation of charge exchange interaction is available in the literature http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.nimb.2014.10.002. However, the incident particle is proton instead of negative pion in this literacture.
