I was using geant4 for some time but only thought of this question recently. If i have heavy ion and i set its kinetic enegy it sets for particle as a whole not per nucleon?
And also i have question regarding center of mass energy of colliding ions per nuclei. I found formula in Sahoo’s Relativistic Kinematics:
But i cant understand meaning of it. For example i want my nucleis to collide and center mass energy 10 GeV/nucleon. From that i cant find corresponding energy for proton-proton collision. But how do i find energy of incoming nuclei in experiment with fixed target?
