Hi everyone!
I’m working on a simulation involving a 100 GeV electron beam, where approximately 1e7 electrons are directed into a concrete beam dump. The goal is to study the radiation produced by the interaction of the beam with the dump material, including both the internal radiation within the dump and any back-scattered radiation from the beam.
Our main interest is in analyzing the dose distribution both inside and outside the chamber housing the beam. The beam transport line is essentially a vacuum.
I’ve already set up the basic geometry for the simulation, but I’m unsure which physics processes to include. Ideally, I’d like to use a pre-packaged reference physics list.
If anyone has suggestions or knows which physics processes or physics lists are most relevant for simulating high-energy electrons in the 100–150 GeV range, I’d really appreciate your input!
