Dear All,
It is not clear to me how the range (production) cuts are converted into energy cuts in Geant4.
For example, for the electrons, I was expecting the range cut to be equal to the CSDA range for a given energy but this is not the case for e- in lead (for energy larger than a few MeV). Maybe I am missing something. I hope someone can clarify this doubt.
