How to 12C generate in run.mac

Hello, Geant4 experts!

I want to 12C generate using run.mac

so, i wrote the following code in run.mac

(1) /gun/particle ion
(2) /gun/ion 6 12 6
(3) /gun/energy 1200 MeV # 100 MeV per nucleon
(4) /run/beamOn 10000

is that correct? i have a question,
(2_a) /gun/ion 6 12 6 " or " (2_b) /gun/ion 6 12 0
which one is correct? or (2_a) and (2_b) is same thing?

They are not the same and both are correct. The last number is the ionic charge. So iion 6 12 6 is a carbon ion of charge +6 (all the electrons stripped off), while ion 6 12 0 is an uncharged carbon ion.
