I have a question about the refractive index (RINDEX). How to choose the appropriate value? Namely, If my light source is a commercial X-ray tube. The energy range is from 1keV to 130keV. Should I find out the refractive index of the material in these energies? Then I use it in the RINDEX?
RINDEX is a parameter that is used by optical physics processes. The actual values for a material must be obtained from the literature or by measurement. X-rays in the 1 keV to 130keV are not optical photons for the purposes of the optical physics models in Geant4.
