recently I was made aware that Geant4 has a tau physics implementation but that this was limited, and I wanted to ask if there is any effort to implement such as the intermediate tau resonances during their decay, or also tau polarization included in their decays? Thanks!
Hello, just to follow up on this, so it appears that GEANT4 cannot handle tau polarisation after digging further. This appears to have some small but non-negligible effect on the momentum distribution to the daughter particles following the decay of a tau in simulation?
I just wanted to chat and follow up with someone about this - it appears that in one of the example /extended/eventgenerator/pythia/py8decayer there seems to be some corrections available (particular for the decay modes of the tau, but no way to set the polarisation. is this correct?
Thank you for anyone out there who can provide me some more insight!
