Low characteristic xray generation rate

Hi all,
I am simulating x-ray fluorescence(XRF), but rate of the characteristic x-ray generation is very low. The simulation emited 10 million gamma to copper sample, with the maximum energy being 20 keV(equivalent to 20kV voltage), however, only 36 gamma photons are detected. The K-alpha line of copper is in 8.05 keV. The simulation is to detect the 8.05 keV x-ray generated by incoming x-ray. The range cut is 0.01 mm, setup by commands

/process/em/fluo true
/run/setCut 0.01 mm
/process/em/deexcitationIgnoreCut true

I don’t know why only a few characteristic x-rays were generated. Any comments or suggestion?

Hi @maire,
Thanks for your information. After some test, I found that the generation rate of the fluorescence is not low, it’s my detector area too small, so only a small part of photons are detected.
