Minor update to the Compton scaterring of entangled photons

I am new to proposing the updates to Geant4 so I hope this is the right channel.

I would like to propose a minor update to the double Compton scattering model of the entangled annihilation photons, available in Geant4 since version 11.0.

The change is related to the findings reported in [P. Žugec et al., A reconciliation of the Pryce-Ward and Klein-Nishina statistics for semi-classical simulations of annihilation photons correlations, Physics Letters B 875 (2026) 140346] available at:

The required change would consist of adjusting the form of the angular distribution to be sampled for the scattering of the second annihilation photon [Eq. (14) from the paper], which allows for the Klein-Nishina statistics to be recovered for the second photon, besides reproducing the Pryce-Ward correlations between the two photons.

I would be happy to provide any additional information if the idea is considered.
