I have installed G4 (see version below) on a Linux machine via ssh from Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.6 (I know it’s very old but I can’t update past this as my macbook is quite old). I did the installation using the video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxb4WZyKeCE&list=PLLybgCU6QCGWgzNYOV0SKen9vqg4KXeVL&index=1. The installation works fine but when I load the visualisation I cannot see anything in the geometry window:
From reading other posts, it seems like this is an issue with the remote server rather than the client. A colleague of mine tested the code directly from the client machine and the visualisation works fine so it seems to be an issue with the ssh login. I tried updating xquartz to the latest version (2.8.5) and reinstalled the code but this didn’t resolve the issue.
