Proton energy cut for CH simulation

I’m simulating a CR39 detector irradiated by neutron spectra measured in a linac bunker focusing on proton recoils within the detector volume. I’m wondering how I should determine an energy cut for the secondary protons. If anyone has advice or resources for how I should determine this it would be appreciated!

Operating System: masOS, CentOS7

Production cuts are a tradeoff in accuracy vs computational time meaning there is no clear answer since those are two different levers. With protons tighter production cuts will just mean an incorrect track length but the energy deposited will still be there.

You could just try the default and then see if the amount of time it takes to get the events you need is reasonable. And then lower accordingly.
