I am a PhD student working on simulating cosmic ray interaction with the Earth’s atmosphere, and I am writing regarding the Planetocosmics software.
I have used PLANETOCOSMICS via SPENVIS, but there are limitations with the simulation execution time. The standalone version, however, is difficult to set up because the older Geant4 versions are no longer supported.
I am reaching out to inquire if there is an updated version of the Planetocosmics source code that is compatible with modern Geant4 releases. If the project is no longer being updated, could anyone kindly recommend any newer software or alternatives for this type of research?
