In G4 scorer the quantity CellCharge, does it gives total charge deposited in the material?
Also, I am using energy deposited primitive scorer. What does val^2 means in the output file (picture attached)? I couldn’t find any explanation for this.

I also have the same question when analyzing the dose distribution in Gy. This information does not seem to be available anywhere (manuals, site, forum). None of my group members knows what “val^2” means in Geant scoring mesh files.
Wouldn’t it be the statistical variance ? Because by taking the square root of val^2, I get something like the standard deviation and by normalizing by the number of events the result makes sense.
If anyone can mention what Geant means by val^2, that would be appreciated…
