Dear Geant4 community,
I would like to figure out whether it is possible to utilize experimentally measured cross sections (excitation functions) for proton induced inelastic nuclear reaction simulations in low-energy (from 5 up to 20 MeV) range. Particularly, I’m interested in reactions such 12C(p, x), 12C(p, xn), 13C(p, n), 13C(p, xn) and so on. Normally, I used to initialize a custom physics list or use pre-defined list with all models for intranuclear cascade, pre-equilibrium and evaporation/fission are set up for my needs, but this time I’m required to rely only on experimental data.
Therefore, I would like to use data from EXFOR which are prepared in ENDF format. Could you please clarify is it conceptually possible? Does it require a hard pre-processing routines (NJOY, etc)? If this way is an option, may I ask your short hints about classes and function I should use to implement this?
Sincerely,
Ihor
