Hi all
I’m running a very modified version of the TestEm7 example with alphas into water. The alphas I can see but I’d like to see the ionisation events and resultant electron showers along the paths and I’m unable to see these. Which switches in the Mac file do I set to see the ionisations?

Hi TIm
Not sure what you mean by “ionisation events”. Only occasionally do charged particles in Geant4 produce secondary electrons. You should see some of these if you zoom in far enough. Otherwise, ionisation is simply subsumed into energy loss.

Hi John,
apologies for not replying sooner. It would seem you’re correct. I dug out the microdosimetry example and the ionisations along the tracks is very much clearer when viewed as a Root plot and the issue might be with visualisation using QT.
